Oerm Family Reunion Quilt 2010

Each year for our family reunion in June, one family does a quilt for the prize raffle.
This year I spoke up and make the MOST fun quilt I have ever made!

It is called "Turning Twenty: Around the Block"

It is made up of 20 Fat Quarters and then fabric for the center blocks,
along with the accent color fabric.  I could have quilted this quilt but chose to tie it instead.
I think it turned out AMAZING!

Not only that but I found the PERFECT fabric for the back!  The picture does not do it justice.  You can definitely see the black and white, but there was the tiniest amount of yellow in it that tied the whole quilt together.

I do have to say that this quilt went together surprisingly faster than any other quilt that I have done.
I am so lucky to have these wonderful patterns that I can follow to create pieces of artwork!
One down, MANY more to come!
